Prof. Chih-Chung Wu earned his B.S. degree from the China Medical College (CMC) in Taichung, Taiwan, followed by his Ph.D. in Food Science from the National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) where he majored in phytochemical from Chinese medicine, herbs, and vegetables on chemoprevention of chronic diseases and cancer.


After completing his education, he took up his first faculty position at Fooyin University (FU) in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He then moved to Chang-Jung Christian University (CJCU) in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science, in Tainan, Taiwan. Finally, he joined the Department of Food and Nutrition at Providence University (PU), Taichung, where he worked on multiple research fields on Nutrition and Metabolism.


The Nutrition and Metabolism laboratory is supported by research projects and funding from the Taiwan government, hospitals, and commerce technology companies that have continuously supported the laboratory's research on Chinese medicine, herbs, and vegetables on chemoprevention of chronic diseases and cancer over several years.

Prof. Wu is also an active member of the following academic Society,

2. Taiwan Association for Food Science and Technology.
3. The Taiwan Metabolomics Society
4. The International Society for Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods.
5. European Association for Cancer Research.
