Chih-Chung Wu obtained his B.S. degree from the China Medical College (CMC), Taichung, Taiwan in 1995, followed by his Ph.D. in Food Science from the National Chung Hsing University ( NCHU) in 2001. His major is phytochemical from Chinese medicine, herb and vegetable on chemoprevention of chronic disease and Cancer.


After which he took his first faculty position at Fooyin University (FU) in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science (2001-2008) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Then, transfer to Chang-Jung Christian University (CJCU) as Chairman in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science, in Tainan, Taiwan. Finally left south Taiwan and joined the Department of Food and Nutrition at Providence University (PU), Taichung, where he joined a multiple-research field on Nutrition and Metabolism.


Nutrition and Metabolism laboratory is supported by the research projects and funding from the government and commerce technology company that has continuously supported laboratory's research on phytochemical from Chinese medicine, herb and vegetable on chemoprevention of chronic disease and cancer over several years.
